Aristocats

The Aristocats

Amusing and imaginative and, of course, beautifully animated, this movie has all the superficial hallmarks of a great Disney picture.

It is light and pleasant and funny, the characterization is strong, and the voices (...) are charming in their absolute rightness.

...Aristocats doesn't push the dramatic conflict any harder than it's worth, and the low stakes are themselves a shot of fresh air in comparison to the last few decades of Disney output...

An enjoyable mix of fine animation, catchy songs, and outstanding voice characterizations...

...Xerography's scratchy line has a lot of innate charm, and The Aristocats' emphasis on characterinteraction over story is a nice change of pace from most frenetic kid-flicks.
