Astro Boy

It's not in the Wall-E league, but it's well made and ­inventive.

Young audiences will get a slick, exciting, well-animated adventure with a neat child-robot protagonist who gets drawn into city-smashing battles.

Take the kids if they insist on going, and afterward ask them if there was anything missing. I'll bet not a single kid says, "I wish it had been in 3-D."
