This movie follows the exact formula of the first two, but is funnier and gentler, has a real charmer for a hero, and provides splendid wish fulfillment and escapism for kids in, say, the lower grades.

...will light up your preteen kids' nervous systems like a big, gluey double-fistful of Screaming Yellow Zonkers. Which, one supposes, is basically the whole point here.

It's all totally cartoonish -- Three Stooges gags are more realistic -- and lots of kids will laugh.
