Fluffy thriller, with moments of unintentional humour.
There is a certain rising tide of madness in "Single White Female" that is one of the movie's pleasures - evidence that it was made by a man who directs films instead of simply manufacturing them.
Fonda plays Alison Jones, a chic New Yorker who finds herself in need of a roommate after she kicks out her unfaithful boyfriend Sam (...). Enter Hedra Carlson (...), who seems like the perfect candidate.
...is entertaining claptrap.
