Several weeks into the climbing season, Jeff and the team must rescue a Spanish climber having cardiac issues at 18,000 ft and a Chinese trekker suffering brain trauma on the way to base camp.

As climbers begin summit attempts, Jeff and the team go higher up Mount Everest to extricate the leader of a military expedition, an Indian climber found frozen in the death zone and a Rescue Sherpa battling infection.

The injured mainly high up in the death zone is dangerous for the rescuers who help two snow blind Sherpas and a member of a Slovakian team.

As the end of the Everest climbing season approaches, climbers race against the weather to reach the summit. Jeff and his team must attempt one of the highest rescues in Everest history, and not everyone makes it home alive.
