...Forever Young manages to rise above the schlock that normally hogs up this particular territory by virtue of a couple of classy turns from Gibson and Curtis.

Gibson in particular is good at finding the right balance of innocence and mischief for this material, and does not disappoint fans who expect one bare tush scene per movie.

...the film seems to come to life as it goes along, with some well-written, keenly observed scenes. (...) The last ten minutes of the film are absolutely irresistible.
