Chicken Run

...has a smart mix of nostalgia, sweetness and flip modernity in design and dialogue, playing with time-honoured types (...) situations and plotting.

What I like best about the movie is that it's not simply a plot puzzle to be solved with a clever escape at the end. It is observant about human (or chicken) nature.

It's this balance between danger and wit that makes Chicken Run, the first feature-length animation from Wallace and Gromit makers Aardman, such a treat for adults and children alike.

...absolutely delightful filmmaking, chock-full of gorgeously goofy animation and a storyline that cleverly echoes everything from Stalag 17 to Cool Hand Luke...

Aardman's laid a golden egg which offers plenty of poultry-powered thrills and gravy spills. From what we've seen, it looks clucking marvellous.
