The ladies return home from their very eventful trip to Jamaica where Joan unintentionally ruined Toni's relationship.

Joan continues to suffer in her troubled friendship with Toni and her new relationship with her therapist, Dr. Bales.

Torn between her two worlds, Joan struggles with her professional duty while at the same time dealing with the guilt that she is not being true to herself or her beliefs.

Maya buys a dress that is too expensive knowing it might cause problems with her husband, Darnell. Joan treats herself to a trip to New York to visit her boyfriend, realizing the distance between the two of them is a problem.

Joan ends the friendship between her and Toni after finding out that Toni has been discussing her personal life with co-workers behind her back. Meanwhile, Lynn is trying to cope with her new living situation with Vosco, and his lack of a job.

Yvonne is concerned that William is never going to marry her because they have not set a date for the wedding. When Yvonne asks Joan for advice, Joan tries her best to stay out of it but ends up telling Yvonne to move in with William first to try it out.

For her thirtieth birthday, Joan finds that she is happy with who she is, yet finds that she’s not so happy that her father is a nudist.

When Toni loses her friend Joan, her man, and her gold card, it’s up to Maya and Lynn to help her get her life back together.

Due to marital tensions at home, an emotionally fragile Maya finds herself falling into a fantasy affair with a handsome and empathetic new friend, Stan.

Lynn's Caucasian sister, Tanya, travels to LA to help Lynn celebrate her Gotcha Day: the day when Lynn's childhood adoption to her Caucasian family became legal.

The week of William and Yvonne's wedding is finally here and all goes smoothly until Yvonne discovers William never told his mother about Yvonne...ever.

After a horrid kiss, Maya finally realizes she must end her relationship with Stan. Afterward, however, Stan deviously becomes good friends with Maya’s husband, just to make Maya squirm as he says he may or may not tell her husband about them.

As the company softball season kicks off, Joan falls for her new teammate: a young new employee from the mailroom; however, things go sour when she publicly dismisses their relationship due to their age difference.

Toni decides to make something of her life by opening her own exclusive real estate agency after she sells a four-point-two million-dollar property.

Joan becomes more adventurous with her boyfriend Chris, but inadvertently takes Ecstasy at a club with him and has a bad trip that puts her into the hospital.

Toni is frantic as the grand opening of her real estate agency is less than a week away.

Just before Mother’s Day, Maya is disturbed when her mother announces she’s selling the house and moving to San Bernardino with her boyfriend. Toni has issues when her mother shows up unannounced for Mother’s Day and continually embarrasses her.

Unable to work out living with Joan, Lynn moves in with William and the two hit it off in more ways than one; becoming casual, unattached sex buddies.

Joan dumps Chris when she learns her ex-boyfriend, Sean, is moving back to town; but is crushed when Sean lies about being engaged just to avoid being in a relationship with her again.
