On Joan’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) last day in New Orleans volunteering helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina, she meets Aaron (Richard T. Jones), a fellow volunteer who asks her out.

Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross) returns to work at the J-Spot only to find that William (Reggie Hayes) has put Monica (Keesha Sharp) in charge of managing the bar to get her out of his hair.

After years of on-again, off-again dating and a pair of broken engagements, William and Monica finally tie the knot. At the reception, Robert Dooling, one of William’s biggest clients, thanks him for delaying his honeymoon to oversee an important merger.
