The exceptionally fun martial arts beat-em-up "Kickboxer: Retaliation" is a very dumb, and very satisfying throwback to a simpler time when American action films were as predictable as they were formulaic.
...this is, for better or worse (depending on your view) a perfect ‘kickboxer’ film. Stylish, with a relentless finale and easily the best since the original.
It's hardly high cinema, but it's fun.
...being a martial arts movie it's crammed with many fight scenes and, to a certain extent, it kind of delivers on that front.
