Last of the Summer Wine

Blamire has run off with a woman, and his replacement, Foggy Dewhurst, proves himself to be something of a trouble-maker.

After getting thrown out of the library by Mr. Wainright, the trio meet an old man named Stuart, who is having a strange click in his leg.

Clegg's cynical attitude doesn't deter Foggy, and he confesses to a feeling of growing optimism about the weekend they are about to have by the sea in the company of Sid and Ivy.

Visiting the seaside is an opportunity to meet people of the opposite sex. However, to Gordon, Compo's shy 30-year-old nephew, none of these joys are as exciting as sea fishing.

Nobody believes Foggy can play golf, particularly when he mentions that he has not done so since 1939, and so Sid issues a challenge. Compo and Clegg, eager to see justice done, accompany Foggy to the course.

Gordon, Compo's shy nephew, has at last overcome his timidity and is getting married to Josie. Gordon's wedding raises mixed feelings to the surface.

Compo and Clegg are not as fit as they need to be, according to Foggy, but Clegg has a sneaking suspicion that some of the world's nicest people are those with tired, flagging limbs.
