...Loach sticks to doing what he knows best and does it well.
The film is good-hearted and the characters are easy to identify with, but what I liked best was the underlying humor, even in this desperate situation.
RAINING STONES has a cumulative power that draws you into its bleak, but never humorless, world and produces some beautiful moments of recognition.
