Peeples

In essence, the film is a cross between Meet the Parents and an Adam Sandler idiot-in-a-china-shop comedy.

The sign of a good comedy is whether you laugh. Coupled with my enjoyment of the performances, I laughed enough to give "Peeples" three stars.

...likable, if formulaic, fish-out-of-water comedy...

"Peeples" is an African-American "Meet the Parents" that slips funnyman Craig Robinson into the Ben Stiller role.

...may never be hailed as a comedy classic or even an undiscovered gem, its decided lack of pretense is part of what makes Peeples passably endearing despite its sometimes pronounced shortcomings.
