Gentle romance that delivers on its promise to be an entertaining chick-flick, with easy laughs making it a lot more fun that it should have been.
What gives the movie its gentle charm is not the melodramatic story, but the warmth of the performances and the way the movie pokes merrily along, teasing us with rewards and disappointments.
It has a number ofvirtues, chief among them that it provides a quintet of older actors (...) with roles so vivid and funny that they nearly steal the show out from under Duchovny and Driver.
...the movie fulfills its contract as a fairy tale.
