A shot in the arm for the classic disaster movie: awesome effects, nail-biting tension and a cast of characters we don’t want dead after half an hour — even, amazingly, the cute kid.
I've introduced The Poseidon Adventure... to more friends than almost any other movie I can think of, and with the tenacity and introspection of a pitbull in love.
It may be cheese, but Poseidon lays out a mighty fine spread.
