...a well-acted history lesson about one of the Civil Rights movement's first Southern White allies, who forgoes a safe life in Alabama to become an activist.
...with Spike Lee's credited as producer – albeit one of many – Son of the South does at least arrive with some endorsement and an assurance this won't be another Green Book-style embarrassment.
