Nu är "Spirit" en barnfilm, och visst kommer barnen att tycka om den - en åttaårig flicka som jag känner väl grät floder på rätt ställen och kramade affischen på vägen hem.

...the drawing of the horses is impressive, the best-ever anatomical and behavioural animation of the quadrupeds...

...more pure and direct than most of the stories we see in animation--a fable I suspect younger viewers will strongly identify with.

...has a satisfactory conclusion, as expected, but leaves plenty of room for a Spirit Returns...
