The Kind-Hearted Cat

Miyuki meets Kumura, a friend from Sri Lanka, while they were in a volunteer activity before parting and reuniting again by chance a year later.

Miyuki, Kumara, and Maya visit Miyuki's hometown in Yamagata Prefecture in Japan in order to announce the engagement. However, her mother, Matsuko, doesn't approve of her marrying Kumara.

Kumara needs to be under detainment as a punishment for overstay. Miyuki tries to find ways to help him.

In order to overturn the deportation order from the Immigration Services Bureau, the family must win a court battle. However, an extremely difficult road lies ahead.

Miyuki's mother Matsuko visits from Yamagata to help Miyuki and her family. The court case begins, and the family is questioned by Urabe, the defence counsel representing Japan.
