Every day a struggle for survival plays out across Africa. Predators binge on the dead and nature's undertakers circle above waiting for their chance.

Their ancestors were the first vertebrates to colonise dry land and frogs inhabit every continent except Antarctica, but their world is rapidly changing. What was once wetlands are now playgrounds, golf courses and race tracks.

Once abundant on the continent, elephant populations have been drastically reduced by hunting for ivory and meat in the last 200 years. Yet there are pockets of hope for these giants, found in elephant conservation reserves like Addo Elephant Park.

Surviving in the African savanna requires wit and guile. Especially for two of its hunters: African wild dogs and Dwarf mongooses.

A complex web of relationships rules all life on earth, all species are interconnected, none can survive in isolation. While some relationships are one-sided, others are mutually beneficial.

The Nile crocodile and Hippopotamus are two of Africa's amphibious freshwater icons.
