...in the woods things get properly creepy. A 19-minute static shot that just holds on the couple's freaked-out faces deploys sound beautifully and also works as a meta-level reflection of the audience itself.

...may not scare the bejesus out of you, but it may surprise for how cannily it detonates the presumptuousness of more than just one brand of masculine mythmaking.

It's refreshing to see that Bobcat has another cinematic string to his bow, and even though this film is being sold as a cheapjack horror movie, there's clearly more to it than that.
