Comfort is finding it difficult to cope with the strain of Fin's disappearance. Luke gets into trouble when he tries to be charitable. Nina accuses Ellen of lying to Abs.

Guppy, the new SHO, has a difficult first day in the department which isn't helped by Abs's sense of humour. The investigation into Fin's disappearance is stepped up as new evidence is found.

Ellen has a surprising proposition for Abs. Comfort desperately hopes that the body she is asked to identify won't be Fin's. Bex is astonished when she discovers that Luke has let Kate move in.

There is an unwelcome mourner at Fin's funeral. Abs has an answer for Ellen, and Bex is perplexed by Sam's behaviour.

Comfort comes face to face with Fin's killer. Ellen makes a surprise announcement. Jim asks Josh to keep a secret when his past comes back to haunt him.

Everyone is surprised and intrigued by Ellen's announcement but Claire warns Abs that if he marries Ellen, he'll never have a chance with Nina. Ruth has even more bad news for Comfort.

It's the day of the Christmas party, but not everyone's in a festive mood. Comfort's day ends with a shock when she returns home to find that Fin's estranged wife Ruth was true to her word.

It's Abs' and Ellen's wedding day and despite Abs' misgivings, Ellen intends to enjoy herself. Just when Abs doesn't think it could get any worse, Ellen drops another bombshell. Meanwhile, Jim has some bad news from the States.

It's the early hours of New Year's Day and everyone's struggling to come to terms with recent tragic events. Ellen gets some bad news and ruins a tender moment for Abs and Nina. Sam's behaviour is increasingly worrying. An old colleague pays the team an unexpected visit.

Ellen receives some worrying news. Bex takes a shine to Claire's brother. Sam's behaviour threatens to drive a rift between Tess and Comfort.

No-one's letting Charlie's 50th birthday go by unnoticed, but by the time the party comes around not everyone's in the mood to celebrate. Ellen is feeling the pressure as her dad visits, and things can't get much worse for Comfort.

Abs is forced to take dramatic action to get Ellen out of his life forever. It looks like romance is blossoming for Bex, whilst Woody and Luke plot to improve other love lives. Tess helps Comfort find a way to get over her loss.

The new registrar encounters her first patient before she even arrives at the hospital. Bex's dreams of a perfect relationship with Claire's brother Pete come crashing down, and Tess finally realises how unusual Sam's behaviour has become.

Tess finally acknowledges what's wrong with Sam but it may be too late. Abs makes a decision which could lead him back to prison, while Guppy and Nina join forces to tackle an unpopular consultant.

Bex's ordeal continues as she faces the harsh reality of the night's events. Ellen finally gets the message when Nina tells her a few home truths, and Tess is still struggling to come to terms with Sam's condition.

Tess doubts she can rely on Mike to support her through Sam's illness. Bex's rape accusation threatens to divide the department, and Abs gets an unexpected visit from Immigration.

Tess faces a heartbreaking decision when she is advised to withdraw Mike's treatment and let him die. Meanwhile, the paramedics are called to an accident at the docks which becomes dangerous when it turns out that Woody can't swim.

It's Bex's first day back at work after she was raped, but a run-in with Claire sends her home early and marks the start of yet another ordeal. Tess's hopes for Mike's recovery are raised.

Nothing's going right for Abs and Nina, who are desperate to spend their first night together, and an unlikely couple from the department get much closer than they should.
